Dani completed both her BCom and LLB at the University of Witwatersrand. She commenced her articles at Witz Incorporated (formerly WCIS Attorneys) in 2015 and continued with practice after her admission, being appointed as an associate in 2017.

Dani practices in the commercial law department, specialising in commercial law and general litigation. Dani’s passion and focus is in commercial law with a specific focus on start-ups especially in the fintech space.

She has gained extensive experience including drafting and vetting of commercial agreements.

Dani has furthered her legal education by completing the Advanced Company Law I course at the University of Witwatersrand held by professor Michael Katz.

Jenna Jacobs headhsot

Jenna completed her LLB at the University of Johannesburg in 2013. She was admitted as an attorney in 2016. Jenna then worked as an associate at an Insurance litigation firm until she joined Witz Inc in September 2017 as an associate in the Family Law Department.

Jenna is passionate about Family Law because of the positive impact it can have on people and their families. She is driven by the dynamic challenges that come with Family Law matters.

Nicole obtained her LLB degree at the University of Witwatersrand and graduated in 2011. She began her articles in 2012 at a local firm in which she gained experience in various areas of law including civil and commercial litigation as well as family law.

In March 2015 she was admitted as an Attorney and thereafter worked as an associate in an established legal collections practice where she honed her skills as a civil litigant, specialising in legal debt collection.

In October 2017 Nicole joined Witz Incorporated (formerly WCIS Attorneys) as an associate in the civil and commercial litigation department.

Nicole has gained extensive experience in both High Court and Magistrates Court litigation in her years as a candidate attorneys and now as an admitted attorney.

Mariette joined Witz Inc. during July 2017 as a candidate attorney and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa during 2018, thereby achieving her dream of becoming a practising attorney.

Mariette is committed to her career as a commercial and business attorney and she has brought her vibrant and infectious energy to Witz Inc.

Prior to joining Witz Inc, Mariette gained extensive experience in commercial and business law whilst working as a legal advisor with AST Holdings limited, Arivia.kom Proprietary Limited and SAS Institute Proprietary Limited during the period January 2001 to July 2016. During her career as a legal advisor she was involved in negotiating a combined NEC Services Agreement, Structuring and Managing Tenders, Proposals and Agreements and leading a Contracts Management Department.

Mariette’s interest areas and specialities include the establishment of Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions; Commercial and Company law and Information Technology Agreements.

Juanita completed both her LLB and Postgraduate Diploma in Information and Communication Law at the University of Witwatersrand. She commenced her articles at Witz incorporated in 2018 in the Intellectual Property (IP) Department, including a rotation in the Family Law department, and continued with practice after her admission, being appointed as an associate in 2020.

Juanita practices in the IP Law department, specialising in a wide variety of IP matters, in particular; commercial IP, copyright law and trade mark law, wherein her passion lies.

Juanita thrives on having a front row seat to the innovation of all the creative and talented industry trailblazers that the IP department has the privilege of assisting, while forming part of a trailblazing team herself.

Simone Krawitz headshot

Simone completed her BA and LLB degrees at the University of Witwatersrand and proceeded to practice in commercial law before taking a hiatus from practice. Simone studied psychology at the University of Witwatersrand where she graduated with an Honours degree in clinical psychology in 2019.

Upon graduating, Simone wished to find a space that could benefit from the intersection of law and psychology, and she now works within the area of family law and mediation of family disputes, with a specific interest in the co-parenting of children.

Informed by clients’ rights and purposes, Simone’s focus is in protecting the best interests of the child. Simone focusses on a collaborative approach the practice of law to maintain a holistic view on understanding, managing, and settling of family law matters.
