Connie Ndlovu

Connie Ndlovu is a support staff member at Witz Inc. law firm in Rosebank, Johannesburg, where she works as the firm’s receptionist. In addition to handling and directing calls for the firm’s teams, she also opens and closes files and assists with front of house administration.

“I’ve been working at Witz Inc. for more than five years, and this is a really wonderful environment to be in,” says Connie. “This might sound a bit strange, but I tell my friends that the office is my second home. It’s not a typical workplace. I feel valued, and I can relax knowing that in everything I do, I have the encouragement and support of everyone working here.”

Visitors to the offices of Witz Inc. are met with Connie’s friendly smile, and she makes a point of helping everyone feel welcome.

“For some people, coming to law offices can feel strange or unfamiliar,” says Connie. “I like to make sure that they are comfortable and that they are well looked after.”

Outside of Witz Inc., Connie says she loves to read.

“I believe that it’s important to learn from other people, and the best way to do that is by reading,” she says. “It also helps me understand people better, to see different perspectives, and to relate more easily to the people I meet every day.”

Connie describes herself as a churchgoer on weekends, spending time with likeminded friends and family.

“Part of my job is to connect with people, to help them feel reassured if they’re not sure what to expect, and to show them that Witz is a welcoming environment,” says Connie. “And in a company like this, it’s easy to do, because that’s how it really is here.”
