Marius Gerber

Marius is a specialist intellectual property (IP) attorney with more than 20 years of experience, having worked at some of the largest and most prestigious IP firms in South Africa. His areas of practice include trade mark, copyright, commercial IP, due diligence, IP licensing and franchising matters.

Marius is involved in corporate training in IP.  He has presented lectures on copyright to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at a number of tertiary education institutions and is passionate about continued legal education, training and strategic guidance for his clients to ensure that they remain up to date with the intricacies of IP law.

Marius Gerber joined Witz Inc. Attorneys in April 2017 in the IP department. Marius specialised in IP law in 1999 and subsequently spent several years as a partner at top-tier firms Bowman Gilfillan and later Adams and Adams.

Marius graduated from the University of Pretoria with a BCom (cum laude) and an LLB (cum laude). He completed his two years as a candidate attorney in general practice, and thereafter continued to practice general law.
