Craig Shapiro is a qualified trade mark practitioner and a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law. He specialises in the commercialisation, management, enforcement and acquisition of intellectual property rights including trade mark clearance searches, trade mark registrations, conducting trade mark audits, intellectual property due diligence investigations and intellectual property agreements.
Craig has worked with the top intellectual property and corporate law firms in South Africa (including Bowman Gilfillan and Adams & Adams) and has also held the position of Group Head of Legal at a public company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
Through this, he has developed a unique skill set, being an intellectual property lawyer with corporate and commercial experience. Craig has worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from start-ups to world renowned multinational corporations.
